Adults addicted to alcohol or other drugs often deal with incredible challenges when faced with ongoing responsibilities. They may have difficulty seeking treatment, given their commitments to family, work and other obligations. In addition, their physical and emotional health, as well as their relationships with others, tend to suffer.
Oaklawn offers an addictions intensive outpatient program at:
2600 Oakland Avenue, Elkhart
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
The average length of stay in Addictions IOP is anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks, and varies according to a person’s individual goals and treatment plan.
Program components include goal setting, psycho-education and medication management. Individual and family sessions are scheduled as needed.
We will contact your insurance company to obtain prior approval for services. Based on your income and family size, you may be eligible for a discountd fee through the Hoosier Assurance Plan. Staff will talk with you about your particular payment arrangements.
After completion of the IOP, participants begin a 16-week aftercare program which includes relapse prevention education and strategies as well as continued supportive intervention and monitoring. This group meets from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.
